Cambridge Arts Theatre is creating a world-leading, dynamic new space for our impressive calendar of performances

DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPY | CAMBRIDGE ARTS THEATRE

The Cambridge Arts Theatre Trust is about to embark on one of the most exciting chapters in the history of our Charity.

As well as continuing to run and improve our thriving regional theatre and increase our producing activities, we are going to completely refurbish our existing auditorium, bringing it up the very best modern standards, and build a new 200 seat Studio Theatre on the roof of our existing building.

This transformational £17.5m capital project will help to create and secure a truly sustainable cultural institution in the heart of historic Cambridge.

It will bring profound and long-term benefits to the City, University and Student body and to the wider region showcasing the performing arts as a key part of Cambridge’s national and international offering to the world.

A significant leadership gift and our own resources have allowed us to assemble an outstanding design team and fully develop our plans to RIBA Stage 3.

This role will be pivotal in the next stage of the delivery of our vision. from you. You will lead a driven and committed fundraising team, be key part of our senior management team, regularly work with our Trustees, look after our existing donors and find creative ways to identify new ones.

You will need to wholeheartedly buy-in to our charitable mission to inspire and nurture a lifelong love of the performing arts and to preserve and enhance Cambridge Arts Theatre for the benefit of current and future theatregoers.

Most of all, you will be a team player and people person able to convincingly articulate our mission and inspire and lead others to join us on our journey.

The Director of Philanthropy can be based at either at St Martin's Lane in London or at Cambridge Arts Theatre - there are flexible options for hybrid working and can be either Full Time or Part Time.
