This candidate is a highly experienced senior manager, with extensive experience in multi-site management and overseeing both Ofsted and CQC regulated services. In her most recent role as Head of Quality Improvement, she took on a large portfolio of services and has been the leading element in ensuring they meet both Ofsted and CQC regulations. This multi-diverse role has seen her work closely with both the senior management team and home managers to collectively work together to achieve a common goal.

She progressed through to Director of Operations and became the responsible individual for both Ofsted and CQC regulated services. Throughout her time with the organisation, she gained invaluable experience and knowledge, working closely with local authorities and Directors, to ensure the consistently high standards of multiple services, whilst also being responsible for potential new services.

A word from the candidate

I have over 21 years of experience working in the health and social care sector, five of which I have worked as a Registered Ofsted Children Home Manager for a Mental Health mixed provision home. During this time, I have developed staff' practice to underpin the Children's Home's Regulations and quality standards.

Having completed a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, a BA (Hons) in Leadership and Management and recently completed an Executive Master of Business Administration. During my time as registered manager, I was able to take that service from inadequate to outstanding within one year. Subsequently, I maintained that outstanding for four years before taking on other roles and handing the home to the deputy manager.

As a result of that achievement, Ofsted asked me to deliver a presentation at one of their various conferences to managers across the region. I am meticulous in ensuring young people are supported to develop appropriate relationships and encourage and monitor safe practice. I take the lead in ensuring an open culture is created in all services allocated to me, one in which stakeholders feel they can voice concerns and are listened to and taken seriously.

Currently I hold the role of a responsible individual with Ofsted for the services I'm responsible for and the nominated individual role for the CQC homes in the organisation. I have responsibilities for various homes budget, safer recruitment and selection, training and development and allocation of the staff team.

I have a further five years experience as a Deputy Home Manager within the same Residential Service for young people aged 11-19, which helps me have in-depth understanding and knowledge within Health and Social Care. I have vast experience working with children and young people with multiple complex needs. My career started as a senior support worker in a nursing home for the elderly, working with adults with Dementia for over three years. I have acquired the necessary qualifications for working with adults while working with adults.
