Director of my life
When I was 15 I wanted to become a theatre director. I was fascinated by the way life can be replicated and reconstrued on stage and I even wrote a few theatre plays at that time. Two years later, this dream changed into becoming a lawyer - not connected with the intial dream, at first sight - which is what I eventually become. There is no contradiction between the two either: being a lawyer is also about storytelling, made to transmit impressions and, eventually, convince. A good lawyer has to use his/her imagination too, something most legal practitioners downplay or neglect, thinking that they must be ”serious people”. Well, this is wrong and is a certain road to failure and professional insatisfaction.
Thank you, LinkedIn, for giving me the opportunity to express my thoughts and thank you for allowing people to connect and to exchange ideas! Happy anniversary!
