Director of Inquiry and Research CREST Education (VIC)

CREST Education Ltd is a leading provider of quality Christian Education, delivered by Christian staff, equipping students for a life of faithful service. CREST includes two Colleges, Hillcrest Christian College (3YO ELC to Year 12) and Rivercrest Christian College (currently 3YO to Year 10, growing a year level each year). CREST Education’s new Senior Learning Centre (SLC) will open in 2024. The SLC is a contemporary learning and wellbeing centre for Years 11 and 12 students from both Colleges.

The Director of Inquiry & Research is responsible for overseeing four strong organisational and operational CREST Libraries/Discovery Centres. This role leads the CREST-wide Library staff and works collaboratively with all curriculum leaders and teachers to promote best practice in literacy, research skills and information literacy. The position reports to the Executive Principal through the Heads of College/CREST Vice-Principal.

The Director is an expert educational practitioner with a sound knowledge of schools, including the International Baccalaureate (IB). They will also lead the curating of engaging resources and contemporary library collections across all mediums. The successful candidate is highly adept at leading for learning, infusing others with a passion for inquiry. The Director confidently designs, facilitates, and evaluates the impact of workshops and learning opportunities for a diverse range of learners, and is highly collaborative.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• A lived faith that aligns with CREST’s Christian values
• VIT registration (or able to achieve VIT registration)
• A minimum of 8 years experience as an educator working in schools

Familiarity with the IB curriculum, learner profiles, areas of interaction and experience teaching the Extended Essay will be an advantage.
