Director of Frank & Friend - 250 words about how I got here.
After a stint at a London media company, I started as a fresh-faced Account Executive in a large integrated communications agency. It was a baptism of fire, but I quickly got to grips with the agency world and competitively climbed the ranks to Account Director in record time, gaining experience with big brands, senior stakeholders, and multiple disciplines at double speed.
I did so by understanding the importance of razor-sharp client management, attention to detail, clear expectation setting and meticulously planned campaigns.
I secured a position on the leadership team and as well as playing a key role for my clients, I actively contributed to the strategic and operational direction of the agency. Participating in leadership coaching was an eye-opening experience that taught me so much about myself and how to get the best out of others.
After trying my hand at being a client – which gave me an invaluable perspective and further rounded my skillset – I spent the next few years working both directly with clients and consulting with agencies to shape their client services teams.
