Dining in the Gallery: A Night to Remember
Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting an exclusive gathering of 60 guests for a truly unforgettable experience, dining amidst the masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance within the iconic Harewood Gallery.
Guests at the Nyetimber dinner had a memorable evening, not least because they knew they were joining a group of famous people who have had the privilege of dining in this wonderful venue; including every King and Queen, from Queen Victoria to her great-great-great-grandson King Charles to a host of artists, authors and actors from JMW Turner to Benjamin Britten and 007 himself, Daniel Craig!
Our guests were even luckier than these historic guests though as on this occasion they had private access to 'Mischief at the Mansion' - Harewood's best Christmas yet - and tasted some of the most wonderful English sparkling wines, courtesy of our partner Nyetimber.
Helen MacKenzie of Nyetimber was on hand to introduce each course and wine pairing, sharing her knowledge in such an engaging and entertaining way.
As Harewood host, Claire Cox (nee Harder) (Head of Development), pointed out in her welcome address, Harewood is delighted to work with partners like Nyetimber whose support really adds value to the experiences we can offer our visitors and members and the dinner was a perfect example of this.
Guests enjoyed Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage with their delicate canapes, Blanc de Blancs 2016 with their starter of Whitby Crab, Rosé Multi-Vintage with the main course of Guinea Fowl and the perfect dessert pairing of Cuvee Chérie Multi-Vintage with the scrumptious apple and butterscotch mousse.
