Dimpulse Client Story: from idea to $25M valuation

Rustem Ankezhanov turned to Dimpulse with the purpose of scaling his business and automating the operating processes. Rustem's company provided ground handling services for business aviation. However, finding people who could reveal the potential of scaling, build processes and manage the project was a challenge. In addition, observing the development of the IT sector, Rustem understood that without fundamental changes his classic business wouldn't be able to compete in the aviation services market. An integrated approach was crucial to consider the business's specifics, identify opportunities, secure adequate funding for implementation, devise a strategy, and execute promptly.

In order to address this objective, Dimpulse presented a comprehensive program that encompassed the development of an innovative solution and the transformation of the business into an IT company. It was decided to start developing an air charter platform uniting all participants of business processes in the field of air transportation: air service users, air brokers, air operators, handling companies, and private air service companies.

The core of the platform was two developments: a search and booking system for private and charter flights, and a search and ordering system for ground-based air services. The final strategic goal was to create an international charter platform with an automated system for arranging and servicing irregular flights.

OpenSky is now a fully-fledged IT company, offering users access to book private, corporate, or cargo flights with over 10,000 operators through the latest version of its platform. In terms of accomplishments, as of the first quarter of 2023, the company had generated $5M in revenue and raised $240K in investment at a valuation of $10M.

Our current objective is to expand the platform and venture into new markets. As we look to penetrate the Middle East market, OpenSky has initiated an investment round at a $25M valuation.
