Diligence

December is a very special month for many individuals. Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas all fall in this month. It is during this time that millions of people will have a celebration, and will give thanks for the past year, and will begin to plan for 2024.

As I contemplate the year of 2023, there are many things that I am thankful for. My health, the roof over my head, the job that I have, the food in my cupboards and pantry.

However, I am not perfect. I failed at some items that I thought I would succeed at. My first attempt at passing my PCC exam was a failure. I missed it by just a few points. Even though I have deep knowledge and experience in coaching, I didn’t make the grade.

However, there was something deep within me that said, Don’t Quit. That something is called Diligence.

That is something that the Three Kings in search of Jesus also had. They traveled from afar to seek Him out. They had knowledge, and they had experience in traveling, and they also had diligence to continue that quest to its fulfillment.

So as we begin to think on 2024, how about we grow that diligence muscle even more than we built it up in 2023? You won’t regret it!
