DigiTrax.AI - Evoloutionary Algorithms & Music Motifs -
DigiTrax.AI KR38R (creator) Platform is based on Music building blocks, also known as “Motifs” (musical elements or components), which refer to the fundamental elements (smallest piece of music) that make up a piece of music. These can include pitch, melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, and timbre. In grade school, we learned about the life of the famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven.? We then listened to the beginning of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and realized Beethoven used the same short rhythmic and melodic pattern throughout most of his piece.? Think (dum dum dum DUMMMMM!) ? The pattern is, with a fermata (or hold) over the last eighth note in many cases.? We learned that this repeating pattern is called a “Motif”.
An evolutionary algorithm is a type of artificial intelligence algorithm that uses the principles of natural selection and evolution to solve problems. In the context of music, our evolutionary algorithm is used to generate new musical compositions by starting with a set of “Motifs” aka musical building blocks as the initial population, and then using the principles of natural selection and evolution to evolve this population over time.
The way DigiTrax.AI uses “Motifs” ( think legos) in an evolutionary algorithm is to represent each building block as a separate entity and use a set of rules or constraints to define how they can be combined and modified to create new musical compositions. For example, the algorithm might start with a set of simple melodies and harmonies, and use rules based on music theory to combine and modify these elements to create more complex compositions.

The algorithm then uses a fitness function to evaluate the quality of each composition and select the best ones to be used as the basis for the next generation. This process continues until the algorithm produces a satisfactory result, or reaches some predetermined stopping point.
Overall, using “Motifs” in our patented (7 patents) evolutionary algorithm is a powerful way to generate new musical compositions that are guided by music theory and follow certain musical rules, while still allowing for creativity and novelty.

1 年Generative AI? Ask musicians how they feel about it. Those I asked were not so happy. One day soon, if not now, AI will create beautiful music. I'd still rather hear it from humans.
