According to?Deloitte, U.S. manufacturing could need as many as 3.8M new employees by 2033, with a potential 1.9M of these jobs remaining unfilled. The Ready to Hire team recently announced a new partnership with SME, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, to help meet this need, building sustainable talent pipelines by providing manufacturers with access to qualified pre-screened, pre-trained talent. Our Cengage Work team partners directly with manufacturers to support workforce development. We have over 50 course titles designed specifically to upskill learners for high demand manufacturing roles! Recently, the team took part in ITMS International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago this week with SME, talking to a variety of employers about the coming change they see in their workforce. Becca O'Toole, Partnership Development Director, who gave a showcase presentation shared, “There is a strong desire within the manufacturing industry to disrupt the conventional staffing agency model and redirect investments towards building the skills of their future workforce with Ready to Hire!” Check out photos from the event below. #skillstraining #hiring #workforcedevelopment

To mark the beginning of #backtoschool season, our CTO Jim Chilton shared some of his thoughts on the significance of continuous learning and how embracing change can lead to success. Check it out: #EdTech #ContinuousLearning #Adaptability
As Back-to-School season kicks in, I’ve been making the rounds to places like ASU, SNHU and Johns Hopkins. And let me tell you, it’s been inspiring to see the widespread commitment to continuous learning. As someone who's taken a non-traditional path to leadership in #edtech, I know firsthand how embracing change and committing to ongoing education can drive success. From the dramatic shifts we saw during COVID to the current AI tsunami, our world is constantly presenting new challenges and opportunities. Here’s why I believe continuous learning is more critical than ever and how it shapes our future. ?? Adaptability is crucial in today's business landscape ?? Success depends on willingness to learn - and unlearn ?? AI is transforming work processes and requires new collaboration skills ?? Higher-level thinking and creativity are becoming more valuable ?? Leaders must challenge conventional wisdom and be open to new approaches As leaders, we’ve got to be ready to challenge what we think we know. My background taught me the value of grit and thinking outside the box. Today, we’re looking at apprenticeship models and new ways to spot talent. It’s about updating our old hiring playbooks to reflect today’s business needs Here’s what I believe: the future belongs to the learners, the unlearners and the re-learners. Whether it’s figuring out how to manage teams distributed around the world, or getting our heads around the latest in AI, our ability to evolve is what will keep us ahead of the game. What are you learning – or unlearning – to stay sharp in your field? Drop a comment below; let’s get a conversation going. ?? #EdTech #FutureOfWork #Leadership #ContinuousLearning
