2024 EU Elections and Digital Technologies?
AI will influence the 2024 EU elections like never before. Its ability to quickly produce large volumes of content has increased the spread of misinformation, influencing voters all around the globe. ?
With the EU implementing regulations such as the DSA to hold platforms accountable. The BigTech is forced to take steps to watermark AI-generated content and to collaborate with national governments or face massive fines. On top of that, the EU has started labeling online political ads to divide between what is and is not a campaign. Either way, as we approach the June EU elections, the effectiveness of these strategies will remain to be seen. More here. ?
