The future demands that companies realign their digital capabilities with business goals. New strategies will require initiatives to speed up innovations to accelerate automation. The global digital transformation offers time and cost savings to the industry. It calls for niche talent, collaborations, and training interventions as organisations restructure to fulfil future goals. The topmost strategy drivers for businesses are innovation, architecture, product design, and capabilities, such as, cloud and AI.
As businesses ally with new paradigms, Global Capability Centres (GCCs) have taken big strides in digital spaces. GCCs have pivoted quickly to augment efficiency, resilience, and continuity. They have evolved to deliver a superior value proposition over the traditional propositions of cost and capability arbitrage.
GCCs have effectively achieved workforce transformation with enhanced business productivity. Incubating digital capabilities, many digital Centres of Excellences (COEs) have been established. GCCs are upgrading their talent pool with roles such as IoT specialists and blockchain experts. They are embedding digital products in the organisation to generate a competitive advantage.
The pandemic has led businesses to embrace technology. Digital channels are more vital now than before. To respond to this change, GCCs must expand their ability to deploy innovative digital products. They have to position themselves as forerunners of change and formulate a unique proposition. With businesses making the digital swivel, GCCs have made critical stakes on core digital technologies.
As Bill Gates said, “every company can choose whether to lead or follow the emerging digital trends.” The digital wave transforms businesses, as global leaders are counting on GCCs for digital innovations. Re-imagining the future, traditional organisations are revamping their strategy in the digital age.?
Reimagine. I think this is a critical skill to build now.
