Digital Transformation - think bigger please (because you did not)

Pakistan's IT industry is still an underage distributed and struggling industry.
It is divided into hundreds of small and large businesses but these businesses either make or support products of medium to small nature. Our Eco System still lack the ideas of digital transformations
The startups, whenever the ideas are put on the table, would not move beyond a community/e-commerce initiative, either they are too shy to get bigger things to test in the market, or they prefer some kind of shortcut for quick financials, this attitude has actually become a hindrance in constructing a creative innovative ecosystem for startups and IT industry as a whole.
On the other hand, the already existing software setups are way too busy in either maintaining an international product or shoveling off many smaller projects at a time. Yes, it is good to fast earnings - but don't expect these companies to change things around you, they can talk about it, yes and they do in so many forums and platforms, but somehow always manage to fall short on "doing" scale for the community and that ecosystem, I just mentioned.
Digital transformations and the ideas surrounding it, come with BIG-picture thinking - we cannot deliver this with the current attitude in our Academia, industry, and incubation arenas, there is more to be done here than just words, showtimes, and articles.
It requires the integration of teams on a mega-scale - not just working in isolation and thinking that the invention will automatically cling to the market senses and will work - no, it will not.
Digital Transformation is about software, people, and hardware all working together - it is converting a mass scale canvas to one singular breathing intelligent system - there is no room for unit thinking here
Think about converting a city infrastructure from its Transportation, Utilities, Public Access Areas, Offices, Sanitation, Water, Power, and Safety - all constructed on one singular base element - the citizen!
We have that data, don't we? :)
Wake up please and stop micromanaging things
We don't have time.

5 年I manage a small startup of a software company. From different types of testers to this article, you have been my guiding light. Thanks for writing about what I am trying to implement. Loved it.???
