If you don’t have any special requirements, then this is a convenient solution to go for.

On the other hand, custom software comes as a tailored product with unique features and requirements, that gives you ownership to the code and the freedom to update or adapt it at any time. It might take longer to deploy this kind of software, but you can choose to launch it in iterations, instead of a single release.
