1. The Robots Are Coming, but Are They Coming to Steal Our Jobs?
The technology-dominated world we live in is filled with promises of enhanced productivity and job satisfaction, but does that mean human jobs are safe?
When the industrial revolution happened, a tidal wave of machines replaced countless jobs almost overnight. Today we are faced with similar odds.
Advanced automation technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) possess the capability to replace countless?knowledge workers' roles. As recently as 2017, McKinsey Global Institute produced a?report?that predicted that by 2030, as many as 800 million jobs could be lost to intelligent automation.
And while employees are concerned, employers are excited about the potential benefits of automation and intelligent?digital workers?(defined as a category of software robots which are trained to perform specific tasks or processes in partnership with their human colleagues).
However, that is not the complete story, as the same McKinsey report also highlights, “history shows that technology has created large employment and sector shifts, but also creates new jobs”.

2. You are NOT productive working from home URGENTLY return to the office.
There is a problem with working from home and as an employee you won't like the answer. You URGENTLY need to go back to the office before your business fails. There are some tough facts we, as employees, need to take onboard when it comes to work from home.
Pyjamas are not work appropriate. We are not productive in our pyjamas and everyone is starting to feel that - particularly our employers. Employers need to teach their teams how to work in an office. Interns and new starts need to be near colleagues to feel connected to a business as well as to ask lots of questions on topics they need to learn to be productive.
A balance is required of work from home (WFH) and work from office (WFO) otherwise no one wins.

Gary Marcus is an emeritus professor of psychology and neural science at N.Y.U. who has become one of the leading voices of A.I. scepticism. He’s not “anti-A.I.”; in fact, he’s founded multiple A.I. companies himself.
