EINSTEIN’S RESEARCH IS SOMETHING THAT IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED BY ALL BUT CAN WE SELL IT TO PEOPLE. I GUESS NOT SO EASILY BECAUSE PEOPLE DO NOT SEE THE VALUE THAT IT WOULD BRING TO THEM. ON THE OTHER HAND, PEN IS SOMETHING THAT IS TECHNICALLY FAR LESS COMPLEX THAN THE EINSTEIN’S EQUATIONs BUT CAN BE EASILY SOLD TO PEOPLE AS THEY SEE CLEAR VALUE IN IT FOR THEMSELVES…
THUS, VALUE PROPOSITION OF A PRODUCT/SERVICE IS THE CENTRAL THEME ON WHICH IT’S SUCEES DEPENDS.
THUS, IN TODAYS ARTICLE I HAVE TRIED TO SUMMARIZE A FEW BENEFITS OUT OF MANY THAT A DIGITAL SUBSTATION OFFERS. THESE ARE AS LISTED BELOW:

- HIGHER SYSTEM TRANSPARENCY: Digital Substations offer a very high system transparency as complete system and data till the Process Level can be monitored.
- SYSTEM COMPACTNESS: Use of Centralized Protection philosophy, LPITs, Optical CTs etc. increase the system compactness. For e.g. A GIS using LPITs is even more compact than the conventional GIS. This in turn further reduces the need for land and space for an already space crunched environment where GIS needs to be installed.
