Digital strategies for cinemas- the key to European audiences

Ahead of our presentation at CineEurope this week we published the results of a brand new research project, month in the making. We took a look at how cinemas across the UK, Germany and France manage their online presence- through websites and social media. The main conclusion is that there is more exhibitors could be doing to tap into the potential of online platforms for reaching and engaging audiences.

The study will continue with a similar analysis of cinemas in other territories- stay tuned for news!

In addition to the conclusions of our research so far (published by Celluloid Junkie), we share a series of other interesting reads this week. They span public funding for film (through an analysis of grants available from BFI, by Stephen Follows), a take on Cannes' potential to uplift a film's commercial performance (as revealed by the box office performance of some of 2017's contenders & winners) and a look at the stakes in the AT&T- Warner merger.
