Google launches Gemini Ultra - the most powerful LLM!

• Google has officially rebranded its AI chatbot Bard as Gemini and launched major upgrades, including a new mobile app and access to its highly anticipated Ultra model.
• The Gemini Advanced model provides access to Ultra 1.0, Google's "largest and most capable" AI model that competes with GPT-4 on performance benchmarks.
• The Advanced model is accessible as part of a $19.99/month Google One AI Premium subscription plan.
• A Gemini mobile app is now available on Android and iOS in the U.S., allowing enhanced on-device assistance via typing, voice, and images.
• The Android app supports some existing Google Assistant features, including making calls, controlling smart devices, and accessing info from other Google apps.
• Images generated with Gemini will now feature an invisible digital watermark using a tool called 'SynthID'.
• Gemini has made its debut in Canada in both English and French.

Frame, created by Brilliant Labs, a firm established by an ex-Apple employee, is a fresh addition to the AR glasses market. Through its always-online voice assistant, Noa, Frame claims to bestow "AI superpowers" upon the wearer.

• What Frame can do: Frame's AI models can translate signs, search the web, analyze meals, and project photos, among other things. Frame leverages many AI systems: Perplexity for conversational web search, Stability for text-to-image conversion (Stable Diffusion), OpenAI for general purpose text-to-image (GPT4), and Whisper for voice recognition.
• Design and price of Frame: Weighing in just a feathery 40 grams, Frame is a universally comfortable and lightweight option. With or without prescription lenses, it's up to you. You can pre-order Frame from Brilliant Labs' website for $349. Shipping will start in April.
• Frame will go up against other AI-powered wearables like the AI Pin from Humane and the R1 from Rabbit, among others. After their open-source single-lens AR gadget Monocle, Brilliant Labs has released their second augmented reality device, Frame.
