Starting in the spring of 2024, the SAT in the United States will undergo changes. It is going to be digital and adaptive. The new exam should be taken by students in the class of 2026 and younger.
Here’s all you need to know about the new Digital SAT.
Digital
Educational institutions or designated testing facilities will administer the new SAT exam digitally, utilizing new online resources. The test will be administered without the use of a test booklet or bubble sheet.
Adaptive
There will be two sections to the new exam: Reading & Writing and Math. Each part will have two modules. Based on how well the student does on the first module, the test will either get easier or harder.
Content
Both the Reading & Writing and Math sections will undergo minor modifications in terms of the content and format of the test. The timing of the test will differ from that of the current SAT.
