Digital Promise and CAST Announce New Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Product Certification

Digital Promise and education research and development nonprofit, CAST, with support from the Educating All Learners Alliance have partnered on a new Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Product Certification to help inform educators who are evaluating the accessibility and usability of edtech products.
UDL serves as a foundational framework for proactive design of products, materials, environments, and experiences that include an intentional focus on supporting all learners by?removing barriers to learning while promoting the development of expert learners. To earn the UDL Product Certification, edtech products must submit evidence that demonstrates an accessibility baseline and alignment to UDL Framework and Guidelines.
