Ashghal is in charge of designing, building, operating, maintaining, and managing infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and buildings across Qatar. It is a massive program, and with it comes a huge requirement to consider how we are communicating among various stakeholders and authorities, and how we are collecting and managing data for optimum efficiency.

Due to the complexity and the magnitude of the program, Ashghal needed to create a unified integrated system that brings together people, processes, and data to speed up operations and reduce errors.

This was achieved by adopting the Ashghal Portfolio Management System (APMS) across programs, functional areas, and processes. APMS is an in-house program that aims to bring all Ashghal’ s stakeholders within a single platform to manage and monitor large infrastructure projects within Qatar and bring transparency and efficiency right from planning to hand-over.

APMS is a G2B eGovernment integrated, online and electronic platform to manage entire Project Lifecyle with conformity to Construction, Engineering, Quality, Safety & Security standards.

The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is a world-class museum designed by Frank Gehry and his architectural firm Gehry Partners. The museum is renowned for global contemporary art which will collect, and display works from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia along-side modern and contemporary Western art.

It will speak to the art histories of those regions in a respectful, intelligent, and elucidating way. The museum is designed to showcase the cross-cultural dialogue that has existed between artists from different regions for decades and to encourage new conversations through the arts.

The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi sits just off the coast of Saadiyat Island. It comprises nine indoor/outdoor sculpture galleries called the “Cones”, which are arranged asymmetrically in concert with the formal gallery spaces, around a central atrium. The Cones were inspired by the traditional wind towers found throughout the region and their unique funnel shape facilitates the movement of hot air, passively cooling the space.

The architecture of the building is truly outstanding and unique. The curvilinear shapes and sheer volume are a challenge to construct, and the latest and most advanced digital tools are essential in assuring successful completion.??

Smart & Safe Site by IoT

DO?U? ?N?AAT VE T?CARET A.?.

Do?u? Construction increasingly applies innovative technology solutions to get a real-time data flow in its projects and is using this data to estimate and prevent occupational safety risks on construction sites. One of these technologies is the Internet of Things (IoT). Before Smart & Safe Site by IoT, the system's data was entered by computer operators manually. A human can process hundreds of images every day. But at some point, concentration wears off. IoT Technology, however, does not get tired.?

The Smart & Safe Site by IoT project enables us to automatically collect, interpret and integrate the employee, construction equipment and subcontractor data. To prevent potential accidents in CSS Metro Project, occupational health and safety risks are estimated using Machine Learning methods.?

Predictions are made by Do?u? Construction's OHS accident dataset, and factors that may cause an accident are examined. Parallel to these estimation models, computer vision and image processing technologies called “Image Processing” were used to monitor and detect the real-time OHS risks. The AI model detects risky behaviours or misplaced equipment that result in a safety hazard related to HSE by visually capturing worker actions, processes, and physical spaces.
