The digital playground of ChatGPT + Zapier: create your own AI powered Virtual advisor

OpenAI and ChatGPT is hot; probably you’ve already tested the chat on OpenAI.com? crazy, isn’t it? After testing it, I directly decided I wanted to share this excitement with my marketing colleagues, I think it was one of the most interactive lunch demo’s of last year. So much fun, new ideas, and of course also some questionmarks.

I was inspired by a TikTok video about ChatGPT and how you could use Zapier tooling combined with the ChatGPT api and bring the ChatGPT output to other platforms or apps. Seems so cool! Now you can make your own apps and digital services smarter with a.i.

So during my holiday on a rainy Friday morning I planned some time exploring the possibilities of ChatGPT and Zapier.com and the result is that I’ve created a fully automated running ChatGPT AI powered Virtual Advisor on Twitter.?That’s crazy! With no-coding, no investments or whatever in only 5 hours I had an AI powered Virtual Advisor up-an-running.

?What? An Artificial Intelligence powered Advisor?

So I saw that video of how you could integrate and use the ChatGPT api within Zapier.com (Zapier is an online platform that helps you automate workflows by connecting your apps and services you use) How does it work? Step 1: I made a set-up of automated activities that starts with the Virtual Advisor scanning all the Tweets on Twitter and searches for the hashtag “Durftevragen” (it’s used to ask something in general a.k.a #daretoask).

These are mostly general questions, and when there’s a Tweet with #Durftevragen Zapier automatically use this whole Tweet as a prompt Step2: (like a question) in OpenAI api and asks for a completion (and answer in the style of an modest Advisor with a sense of humor, you can do the goal set up via Davinci-003 within ChatGPT)) .?The output of ChatGPT is Step3 and is automatically pushed via Zapier as a new Tweet via my account @Durftevraigen. So cool! In a few days it generated already over 200 tweets/answers.

To be honest: it’s feels quiet strange that there’s is a Virtual Advisor running/awake that automatically responds to strangers that uses the hashtag. It’s a bot. Even when I am asleep, The "thing" is working and decides it selves what/how it Tweets. (update: I use Zapier-tooling, my 1000 free trial credits are already used, it's paused now).

I picked some Tweets for you that gives you an good idea of the type of questions and (a.i.) answers from this Virtual Advisor. I was really suprised with the relevancy and quality of the tweets. What do you think?

What do you think? pretty amazing isn't it? It was kind of strange that the Tweets were posted without any moderation, I can imagine from a Business kind of perspective that the tooling can be useful but that moderation is really necessary. From a Digital Playground perspective I was really excited!

First insights and personal learnings from this digital playground

• The output of ChatGPT from language perspective is amazing, its looks 100% human. Even included some Emoji and new hashtags. cool!
• How do we perceive these BOTS? Is this a development we really prefer? Is it acceptable that an a.i. bot is answering human questions? Is this the new real?
• If I can fix this Virtual Advisor within a day (5 hours) you can imagine that the web is already full with Bots and fake accounts, and will increase in the near future.
• Twitter prevents that replies or mentions are automatically pushed, so the “@” is removed in the automated tweet, so officially it’s not an reply and the person doesn’t receive a notification of the reply. (for now that’s ok/safe, so the Virtual Advisor operates low profile ;)
• Not all answers are 100% correct or relevant (most are not), lot of adjustments/improvements has to be made
• ChatGPT is not updated with actual info etc so not all Durftevragen can be solved..
• I think its crazy thats its so easy to set this up, experience it etc. for free. Although my Free Trail is over at Zapier, I have to find out how to deal with that, its such a cool Digital playground!?

ChatGPT and the near future

It is so much fun to play around in ChatGPT and combine it with all the other apps via Zapier.com. You have to try this. It broadens your perspective of what is possible at this moment and how we are gonna use these tooling in the near future. You will see that many new software applications/apps will integrate the a.i. knowledge/output from i.e. ChatGPT in their own services.

I think it's also cool to see that you can create your own digital services via no-code tooling as Zapier.com, api's, Glide-apps etc, As a marketeer now you can define, create and experiment with your own apps and services. Use that playground. Enjoy!
