This edition is special for me as I will discuss a topic I became fascinated with several years ago and decided to spend several years researching to understand its nature and impact on businesses. Several years ago, despite its simplicity, a question appeared with no answer for me. The question is why some digital enterprises were able to win in the new digital economy and were able to be transferred into technology giants. In contrast, many others failed even to survive. However, I decided to investigate and research this dilemma with the highest and most rigorous scientific approach possible. I made it my mission to uncover the key factors that separated successful and thriving digital enterprises from failures that failed to survive and express the results in what can be called "Digital Platform Ecosystems Strategies."
Due to the embedded complexity of the topic, it will need to publish many issues either within this LinkedIn newsletter or in another publications outlet to clearly define the business and management research question and explain the results obtained at the end of the research journey. Although these can come in the following weeks or months, the reader can get a good idea of the business topic and its significance by reading the following previously published newsletter issues in sequence:
However, it is worth mentioning that although the above-mentioned issues of this newsletter focused on the FinTech industry, the logic discussed and explained can be generalized in many other sectors. The principles and strategies discussed earlier can be applied to various industries. Furthermore, the scope of the above-mentioned six issues and the scope of the research thesis don't exactly match each other 100%, and of course, there is a massive difference in the depth of the discussions.
