4 Keys of Digital Transformation:

1. Intent: A change in commercial model has to be driven from the top. Senior leaders increasingly believe in the need to integrate digital technology into the existing commercial model, but will depend on middle managers to drive that change through the hierarchy.

2. Content: Content is king. The right content strategy is to superimpose customer needs over the brand strategy and to provide customized and relevant content to customers through a clear understanding of their journey in order to engage them in a meaningful manner. As you can see, content is always about the customer.

3. Strategy: As customers get easy access to information online, they decide on which brands they want to use and which they don’t. This happens much before a reps visit - Digital strategy should recognize this and prepare accordingly to better support the field force.

4. Skills: Without the requisite skills, beginning with Mindset Change, digital adoption is ineffective.
