Success is goals, and all else is commentary. (Brian Tracy)?

Reading these 12 steps below will certainly put you on the path to leadership.

# 1 Segmentation of the market with business intelligence number

As of this writing, we see, doing research in google, that LinkedIn might reach 900 million users in 2023. This image with 850 million is quite useful:

No alt text provided for this image

Equally useful is this historic projection since May 2003 (opening date of Linkedin was 05.09.2003) presented at 31.12 of each year as follows:

2003: 400.000 users

2004: 1.5 million users

2005: 3.5 million users

2006: 8 million users

2007: 19 million users

2008: 32 million users

2009: 55 million users

2010: 90 million users

2011: 144 million users

2012 : 202 Million users

2013: 271 Million users

2014: 347 Million users

2015: 400 Million users

2016 480 Million users

2017 550 Million users

2018 590-600 Million users

Please note that particularly when LinkedIn was a publicly traded company (currently is Microsoft owned) the numbers reported to Wall Street were clean and conservative i.e. in a given year there could be 50 million profiles not reported to the Street simply because they were not active or did not look reliable, thus avoiding over-massifications of users as Facebook or Bots Like Twitter.

In our tutorials we focus on globally relevant examples of how well- known cases are part of the table mentioned above. Many users do not initially remember their entry date but when doing this exercise they begin to remember and visualize especially when in the subsequent exercises they see the power of the nomenclaturization of the URL in all the languages of the world.

2. The attention span: Career Mission Statement, Magic gmail for Linkedin

Attention span is?the amount of time spent concentrating on a task before becoming distracted. Distractibility occurs when attention is uncontrollably diverted to another activity or sensation.

A recent study found that the average human attention span has fallen from 12 seconds in 2000 to?eight seconds?today. It is reported that goldfish have a 9-second attention span.

In the book Skill with People Les Giblin already taught us that the first visual impression is the one that lasts when you meet a new person. In the digital world you have the luxury of 8 seconds. In the world of PDF or Word, your professional profile is judged in less time, in 4-6 seconds, especially if you put your date of birth or your age among the first set of data.

Therefore, the first changes to be made are to put a clear career mission statement together with an ad-hoc gmail (Google, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Prospects) for LinkedIn and all this consistent with the professional definition which is a digital feature that is different from the current job position.

3. Market sample and stratification via business intelligence

Attention is very important. Tell it to Jorge Zuazola. As a result of Spain's victory at Euro 2008 he founded a group called Spanish Leadership to clinch gold in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Below are pictures with Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Fernando Torres and Vicente del Bosque?

However and despite having 1000 members in the Group Jorge had not even paid attention to the free module of advanced stratified search even though there was an icon which said advance. He had to attend a webinar from this expert

to learn that 90 % of people were also unaware of that functionality.

Jan Vermeiren was able to show us how in Belgium where he lived, he could, being a small country, know that at that time there were exactly 400 people in the Marketing department of a top-notch FMCG multinational

Laugh at me. When I saw that, I called myself stupid for not having done (ever) what Vermeiren showed us. And it did say the word advanced, but I was one of that 90% who had never used it i.e not even clicked on it (Jorge Zuazola)

Today the functionality still exists. It does not put the word advanced but is activated with Boolean Search techniques. Thus you get all the CEO, Managing Director and Executives you may want

4. Depth of you network by sectors and geographies

This chart that you see as an example

No alt text provided for this image

it is how the network model works

In fact it was called network statistics module. Many of us used it regularly because it gave you information such as

More About Your Network REGIONAL ACCESS

Top locations in your network:

5% 1. Greater New York City Area 4% 2. San Francisco Bay Area 3% 3. London, United Kingdom 2% 4. Greater Chicago Area 2% 5. Greater Los Angeles Area

Your region: Frankfurt Am Main Area, Germany

Your connections are in 419 locations but your network gives you access to 2,603 additional locations, including: · Gurgaon, India · Ahmedabad Area, India · Rochester, New York Area Fastest growing locations in your network: 1. United Arab Emirates 2. United Kingdom 3. London, United Kingdom

INDUSTRY ACCESSTop industries in your network: 12% 1. Information Technology and Services 5% 2. Marketing and Advertising 5% 3. Computer Software 5% 4. Financial Services 4% 5. Human Resources

Your industry: Consumer Goods Your connections are in 125 industries but your network gives you access to 148 additional industries, including: · Gambling & Casinos · Photography · Medical Practice

Fastest growing industries in your network: 1. Information Technology and Services 2. Mining & Metals 3. Management Consulting

By doing the exercises in point 3 of Boolean Search, it is clear that first-level, second-level and third-level contacts are the same network. Point 5 below about groups perfectionates everything. A conservative calculation (50 groups When the maximum is 100) in our network would give us these coefficients in 2014

No alt text provided for this image

614.8597 is dividing 2 above by 1

6.951355 is dividing 3 above by 2

Given that in 2021 the first level contacts are 10,502 the depth would reach 44 million but since the groups are not 50 but 100 it is possible that it will be 70 million.

In short, all of our clients calculate the depth of their individual network because web 2.0 allows for multiple company page managers. The algorithm puts your network first level as part of your web 2.0. All adds up

5. The power of second level contacts: the intelligence screen of the groups

As explained in the previous steps 3 and 4 and for the membership of groups, all members of the same group are second and third level contacts.

Therefore they are contactable through group membership

The form of contact must be with a note of professional courtesy. Always very courteous as we all learned from Dale Carnegie.

Such a courtesy note should not contain business objectives but human relationships.

Bear in mind that the person you contact receives a message via membership in a group that gives them professional prestige. In the interests section of each person you can usually see what groups in common you have with that person. If you do not have groups in common, you can enter the group where that person is. There you will become a second level contact

6. Importing of contacts v. inaction giving away market to competition

The importing contacts module is not easy to see because it is a submodule of the invite connections module within the my network module.

?That said, it is of capital importance. Because it represents the passage from world 1.0 to world 2.0.

Most companies did not do that teamwork with horizontal leadership without egos

No alt text provided for this image

As a result, almost no manager, or previous or new appointment, has worked with the sales teams in that direction of creating community 2.0 with existing business contacts.

The fifth feature of the above link is to invite people who are not in linkedin yet.?All is achievable, where there is a will, there is a way.

At the individual user level, many clients (when seeing this link ) realize of the need to have an ad-hoc email for LinkedIn plus the personal email plus all the outlook emails of their corporate companies because even if you are not already in that corporation the electronic trail with clients and suppliers is maintained if you have outlook emails in your settings. Not everyone changes jobs at the same time

7. Equation of success in Linkedin is leadership. Spanish Leadership, Philips Case and Sports Industry Network

?A thought leader is an individual or firm ascribed the quality of 'thought leadership'. Thought leadership is influencing a narrative by understanding what needs to be done. (Wikipedia)

Sports Industry Network has more than 190,000 followers and was the first 2.0 community founded by Lewis Howes as a handball player for the American Olympic team. See the results

We have explained the success story of Spanish Leadership since 2008

And here you have the one from Phillips since 2009

8. URL customization: your profile is your personal web 2.0

By instinct when we founded Spanish Leadership we maximized the then 30 characters as follows https://www.dhirubhai.net/in/jorgezuazolaleadership/

But then came 3.0 where mobility and the semantic web had a role, LinkedIn made this strategic leap even before Microsoft.

The influencer Dave Kerpen wrote How LinkedIn Quietly Built a Massive Media Empire

The 3.0 continued to grow as Kerpen predicted. At the URL level, it went from 30 to 100 characters. What you see here

https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/hashtag/management/?36 million followers

https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/hashtag/innovation/?38 million followers

?https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/hashtag/business/??3.7?million followers

https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/hashtag/leadership/?3 million followers

https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/hashtag/marketing/?20 million followers

https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/hashtag/europe/?2.6?million followers

they are 3.0 channels that should be part of your nomenclaturized URL

In fact when you post on Pulse you have to understand that https://www.dhirubhai.net/today/author/jorgezuazolaleadership is our Mobile 3.0 URL which google presents horizontally to the users of Facebok and Twitter who can indeed share each of your articles individually

10. Languages and personal branding

Based on what you have learned so far and as indicated in sections 2 and 8, we recommend that you work on your default profile. And from there you value how many profiles you want in how many languages. Be practical because my clients after working the default put English for the rest of the languages of the world because it is like being present in every market in the world

11. Professional Picture

There is an old adage in business which says you are always too old or too young for a position.

We recommend portait studio photos like this profile

Photos that are inert to the passage of time

So you avoid prejudices

12. Professional Headline and Summary

From the beginning of this pattern of success we have talked about the professional headline, the 8 second attention span. Everything has to be concatenated. Your summary in the about section has to ensure that in the 30 seconds of sustained attention everything can be learned about you. To understand it you can look at my summary by clicking on my first digital signature below
