Digital in our Landscape Architecture Teams

InSite - Planners / Landscape Architects includes a growing internal group of leading digital talent from around the world looking into many areas of our work and rethinking how we approach challenges, and projects pushing the limits of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design.

Over the past 12 months, we have focused on enhanced technology across various areas to transform our early-stage planning and structured data allowing for more informed decision-making and feasibility assessments to enable downstream production.

Recognizing the importance of leveraging automation to reduce risk in our workflows and improve project performance, we have implemented automated processes for routine production tasks, resulting in a remarkable 85% to 90% reduction in time, one example demonstrated in our #AU2022 presentation (Click Here).

Another significant development is our use of #Rhino and #grasshopper to deconstruct and automate streetscape projects using dynamic sliders that modify the design based on regulations and design criteria.

We employ Rhino inside Revit to translate this into a production model, and then utilizing our document automation tools, we can speed up the process radically, responding to changes and updates with increasing efficiency and accuracy.

We are continually refining these tools to respond to all conditions and to be more efficient across projects, but the potential is very exciting.
