Digital Marketing is probably one of the most talked about term in these wonderful times that we live in. There is just so much content and almost everyone is talking about the importance of digital marketing and how rapidly it has evolved over last 4 – 5 Years.
I have understood one key thing after consuming gazillions of contents on digital marketing and associated technologies and it is, that the fundamentals of any particular trade/role remain the same and while keeping yourself updated is important, it is equally important to understand how the dynamics change with respect to the fundamentals of the trade.
Digital marketing is also one of the terms that gets thrown around a lot for a gamut of multiple activities/specialities or rather tool each catering to a different need & objective. So, whenever we are trying to go for digital marketing, we have to first understand the underlying need or objective. Here are some of the trades/tools/specialties in Digital Marketing:

For Example, if you want to build your network and establish yourself as a thought leader in your domain: you would initially want to be building content that roots you firmly as an influencer in your niche. This content would be textual (Blogging and Microblogging), Visual (Images & Videos) and will be disseminated via different social media in a structured format over a given period of time. This is primarily organic social media marketing and doesn’t include leaning on paid ads to build reach.

So I have been a practicing Paid Media Specialist with hands on experience of strategizing, planning and deploying best in breed sponsored ads that target Bottom of the funnel audience in the niche of Real Estate Industry in India. My objective has been to study, observe and evolve my own skills in Digital Marketing where Tech meets Art and you got to use both the hemisphere of your brain to build and maintain best in breed media strategies that deliver.
