Digital Marketing Trends that Still Prevails in 2024

Every business, brand, and individual is aware of digital marketing. It's not something new to anyone... I believe.

As you already know, your digital presence completes your business. There will be no consistent growth without going digitally. Let’s check out a few digital marketing trends that still stay here this year.

1. Video Marketing (Short-form videos)

From Netflix to Instagram reels, we spent time watching videos every day. These videos directly captivate us in several ways.

TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts are prevailing in 2024 due to their alignment with the fast-paced attention spans of modern audiences.

Short-form videos are easy to produce and are highly engaging, driving traffic and conversions.

"According to a recent survey, 56% of U.S. consumers said they bought something based on an ad they saw on TikTok, and 36% said they were willing to." (Hubspot)

Going viral is the new trend in video marketing. You can reach millions of people through viral content. Additionally, the popularity of streaming services and podcasts continues to rise, providing marketers with new avenues for content distribution and audience engagement.

2. Social Media Selling

Facebook and Instagram turned out to be the new e-commerce platform, with shoppable posts encouraging customers to buy a product at the first glimpse.

Social networking sites are expanding their selling options to include features such as ad campaigns and marketplaces. Facebook and Insta Shop opened a new vertical for consumer reach to convert your followers and friends into your customers with proper social media management.

Experts predict that in 2024, 110 million people will purchase on social media platforms in the US alone, a figure that represents 42% of all US internet users and nearly half of all users on social media. (Semrush)

As consumers increasingly accept social media commerce, marketers must identify their customers' preferred platforms, understand the ways they find new products, and analyze how social media content influences their purchasing decisions.

3. Smart Instant Chatbots/ AI tools

Instant communication leverages a flexible customer experience. Chatbots are designed and developed to offer immediate responses to customer queries. There are numerous plugins available on websites to enhance the user experience in the digital world.

4. PR/ Influencers

Have you ever visited a store to meet your favorite film star or social media influencer?

With the growing number of influencers, brand marketing through social media influencers is quite popular. Unlike TV ads in the past, social media profiles develop direct communication and authenticity. We all might have known someone in our social circle who turned out to be an influencer recently and started collaborating to promote brands through their posts! Are they affordable?

Micro-influencers with 10,000 to 100,000 followers are a more affordable solution and often yield more success than if a brand were to work with celebrities or macro-influencers. (Hubspot)

5. Discount codes

Promotional codes entice a customer to purchase by offering a percentage discount, free shipping, or other offers. You can attract customers with promotions and discount sales. If you find a great coupon code for a sale on some online shopping site, Will you ever miss it?

Right. You will use your code right away! That’s marketing.
