It’s impossible to be successful without one as there are so many moving parts within a digital marketing campaign. Without an overall strategy that includes goals, objectives, and tactics, your efforts will likely fall short of expectations.

When creating your strategy, consider all aspects of your business such as target audience, budget constraints, channels used for promotion, etc., so you can effectively plan for success.?

Not Monitoring Performance?

Another mistake businesses make when it comes to digital marketing is neglecting to monitor performance metrics. You should always be tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, conversions, engagement rates, revenue generated from campaigns, etc., in order to assess which channels are performing well and which need improvement.

If you don’t have any KPIs in place or aren’t monitoring them regularly, you won’t be able to gauge whether or not your campaigns are succeeding or failing—which can lead to missed opportunities for growth.?

Ignoring Mobile Users?

In today’s world of smartphones and tablets, it’s essential that companies optimise their websites for mobile users if they want to reach their target audiences effectively. Unfortunately many businesses still ignore the importance of mobile optimization when developing their digital marketing strategies—and this can have dire consequences for the success of those campaigns.

Ensure that your website looks great on any device so you don’t miss out on potential customers who may only access your site via mobile devices like smartphones or tablets.??
