Twitter Launches beta test ‘Twitter Shops’
Twitter has announced the launch of Twitter Shops, a new shopping service that will allow merchants to select a collection of up to 50 products to display on their Twitter profile. The free-to-use mobile-first tool attempts to encourage consumers to go from discussing things on Twitter to actually clicking through to the merchant's website and checking out.?
This follows up from last year in the US, Twitter tested out ‘Shop Module’ a carousel of five products at the top of businesses pages that users could shop for products. Twitter mentioned,
“Like all of our Twitter Shopping features – the Shop Module, Live Shopping, and our Shopping Manager – Twitter Shops is part of a larger effort to better support professionals of all kinds – from small businesses and creators to big brands – who come to Twitter to do business.”?
The feature which is rolling out to a select number of merchants and managed partners in the US" is free to use, but the feature is currently only available to iOS users in the United States. Verizon, Arden Cove, and All I Do Is Cook are among the companies that have launched Twitter Shops.

Meta announces new tools for Facebook groups
Meta is releasing new features to help Facebook group administrators maintain their communities safe and healthy, eliminate misinformation, and manage and expand their communities with relevant audiences.
Meta is starting off by adding a new feature that allows group admins to immediately reject incoming posts that have been flagged as containing incorrect information through admin assist.
Admins can also temporarily suspend group members from publishing, commenting, reacting, engaging in a group chat, and creating or entering a room in a group by enabling the mute and suspend functionality.
Meta also announced other features that can be used to manage their groups including updates to the admin home page. Finally, Meta is using QR codes with groups to help grow them. The social media giant is doing this to make sharing groups and connecting with communities easier.?

TikTok suspends sharing in Russia
In light of Russia's "fake news" law, which was passed and threats of imprisonment for spreading what authorities deem to be false information, TikTok has banned all live streaming and content sharing in the nation.
The platform announced on its website:
“Our highest priority is the safety of our employees and our users, and in light of Russia's new ‘fake news’ law, we have no choice but to suspend live streaming and new content to our video service in Russia while we review the safety implications of this law.”
TikTok mentioned that it does not know when they will resume their services in Russia but that they are monitoring and evaluating what is going on as their top priority is safety.?
