Solution

Implement a system that can provide us real time data of the health status of the trailer. We want to know before the incident occur, before there is a drop of air pressure to the trailer due to a faulty air valve, air leak, that cause the brakes to bind. See above picture. We want to have real time data of the tyre pressure per wheel position. GPS tracking to provide the financial system kilometres to calculate vehicle cost. Optimize your fleet maintenance program by using the weight on the rear axle to determine loaded and unloaded kilometres travelled – load distribution – overload. Lights not working. Door opening – makes sure your cargo remains secure with sensors at each door, monitor a door is open or closed and can alert users if the status change.

The alert notifications of the potential defect can be sent to all applicable management staff and to the closest accredited workshop for repairs. This minimises down time as the workshop already know the detail / cause of this part failure. The workshop already has the necessary part(s) available for replacement.
