Digital Inclusion leading the life Artificial Intelligence is going to serve everyone for better tomorrow, leaves no one behind.
According to the father of Artificial Intelligence John McCarthy, it is “The science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially intelligent computer programs”. Artificial Intelligence is a way of making a computer, a computer-controlled robot, or a software think intelligently, in a similar manner the intelligent humans think. AI is accomplished by studying how the human brain thinks and how humans learn, decide, and work while trying to solve a problem, and then using the outcomes of this study as a basis of developing intelligent software and systems.
Artificial Intelligence Is Changing the World
The real questions are which factors will affect and dominate the Artificial Intelligence era. During the 19th century, the amount of coarse cloth a single weaver could produce in an hour increased by a factor of 50, while the amount of labor required per yard of cloth fell by 98%. However, the result was that clothes became cheaper, and demand for it increased. This created four times more jobs in the long run.
The introduction of automobiles in daily life led to a decline in horse-related jobs. However, new industries emerged resulting in a positive impact on employment. It was not only that the automobile industry itself grew fast, increasing the available jobs in the sector. More opportunities were also created in different sectors because of the growing number of vehicles on the roads. For example, new jobs were created in the motel and fast-food industries that arose to serve motorists and truck drivers.
So, the past suggests that in the short run the displacement effect may dominate. But, in the longer run, when markets and society are fully adapted to major changes, the productivity effect can dominate and lead to a positive impact on people & society.
Automated teller machines (ATMs) might have been expected to significantly reduce the number of bank clerks by taking over some of their routine tasks. Indeed, in their average number fell from 20 per branch in 1988 to 13 in 2004. But that also reduced the cost of running a bank branch, allowing banks to open more branches in response to customer demand. The number of urban bank branches rose by 43% over the same period, so the total number of employees increased
The future of Artificial Intelligence
The One of the main limitations of being human is simply our own bodies and brains. A researcher thinks that in the future, we will be able to augment ourselves with computers and enhance many of our own natural abilities. Though many of these possible cyborg enhancements would be added for convenience, others might serve a more practical purpose. Yoky Matsuka of Nest believes that AI will become useful for people with amputated limbs, as the brain will be able to communicate with a robotic limb to give the patient more control. This kind of cyborg technology would significantly reduce the limitations that amputees deal with on a daily basis.
Although we are in the early stages of achieving behaviors and intelligence that is in line with humans, recent advances have enabled the virtual assistants to understand us and interact with us through language. As AI technology improves, these assistants are also demonstrating proactive capabilities acquired through the identification of patterns in our behavior.
At the moment we are far from a supporting consensus about the challenges of the AI era. To deepen this understanding, we should further promote social dialogue among all the involved parties (researchers, policymakers, industry representatives, politicians, etc).
This is a vital first step to better grasp the challenges and opportunities of this new industrial revolution. And although we should not rush to conclusions, we must also act swiftly. The speed with which technology is advancing, Waste is another massive problem for the tomorrow, According to the World Bank, world generates 1.3 billion tons of municipal solid waste each year, by 2025, that figure is expected to hit 2.2 billion tons.
What’s worse, recycling efforts aren’t helping as much as people assume. For instance, a scant 14 percent of plastic is recycled globally. In the U.S., roughly a third of all waste is recycled, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a figure that has been static for a decade.
Recycling facilities using robotic sorting stations and object-recognition technology to identify and put garbage in its proper place is another technological advantage for tomorrow’s humankind and society.
The programming with and without AI is different in the following ways:
Programming without AI: A computer program without AI can answer the specific questions it is meant to solve. Modification in the program leads to change in its structure. Modification is not quick and easy. It may lead to affecting the program adversely.
Programming with AI: A computer program with AI can answer the generic questions it is meant to solve. AI programs can absorb new modifications by putting highly independent pieces of information together. Hence you can modify even a minute piece of information of program without affecting its structure. Quick and Easy program modification.
Rethinking Human
The Artificial intelligence is all about the ability of a system to calculate, reason, perceive relationships and analogies, learn from experience, store and retrieve information from memory, solve problems, comprehend complex ideas, use the natural language fluently, classify, generalize, and adapt new situations. The domain of AI is classified into Formal tasks, Mundane tasks, and Expert tasks.
Humans learn mundane (ordinary) tasks since their birth. They learn by perception, speaking, using language, and locomotives. They learn formal tasks and expert tasks later in that order.
For humans, the mundane tasks are easiest to learn. The same was considered true before trying to implement mundane tasks in machines. Earlier, all work of AI was concentrated in a mundane task domain.
Later, it turned out that the machine requires more knowledge, complex knowledge representation, and complicated algorithms for handling mundane tasks. This is the reason why AI work is more prospering in the expert task domain now, as the expert task domain needs expert knowledge without common sense, which can be easier to represent and handle.
CONCLUSION
Many have already grown accustomed to touching and talking to their smartphones. People’s future relationships with machines will become ever more nuanced, fluid, and personalized. AI is going to enable more fluid interactions between people and promising AI technologies.
There is a need for building trusted and transparent AI systems to support future economic growth for the future of mankind.AI technologies will bring tremendous benefits to human society. For example, autonomous cars are expected to improve safety by reducing accidents caused by drivers' carelessness and mistakes.
Furthermore, there will be a change in which people become free from tedious labor and spend more time on high-value-added jobs and hobbies as machines become increasingly automated.
