This week's key articles from The Digital Health Weekly:

New Jersey Cancer Care launches remote patient monitoring

"Cancer care and chronic disease management are burdensome to patients, communities and health systems. Concentrating resources to prevent these conditions will benefit us all," said Matt Hocks chief operating officer at Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based Sanford Health.

"With the first cohort of patients onboarded for the RPM program, the center aims to achieve greater treatment compliance and drive oncology innovation with connected medical devices, a patient app and an integrated cloud-based clinician portal."

Abbott survey finds digital divide for patients, physicians

" 雅培 has released its latest instalment of the company’s multi-year?Beyond Intervention?series ?of global healthcare market research, designed to examine and uncover challenges that arise along the patient journey in those people living with cardiovascular disease – specifically, patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) and coronary artery disease (CAD) – as well as to identify opportunities for patient care improvement, including feedback on digital components of care.

The?latest report ?– Abbott’s third – puts forth the findings from a global survey of patients, physicians, and healthcare leaders, revealing the challenges that have resulted from healthcare providers’ systemic lack of adoption of consumer technologies, as well as a lack of post-surgical therapy compliance and consumer dissatisfaction when it comes, titularly, to beyond intervention."

Survey: 60% of adults uncomfortable with AI in their healthcare

"Sixty percent of respondents said they would feel uncomfortable if their healthcare provider relied on AI to diagnose and treat them, according to a survey conducted by the? Pew Research Center "

INTERESTING TO NOTE: Interesting to see that 雅培 's survey of 2,000+ suggests that "nearly 60% of patients and half of all healthcare leaders would trust artificial intelligence (AI) to help diagnose or recommend the best treatment" vs. Pew Research Center 's survey of 11,000+ found that "that 66% of women said they would feel uncomfortable if their provider relied on AI for their medical care, while 54% of men expressed discomfort." One difference I can see is that 雅培 's survey was #international and included countries such as: #UnitedStates , #Canada , #Brazil , #Mexico , #Chile , #UnitedKingdom , #France , #Germany , #Italy , #Spain , #China , #Japan , #India , #Australia , #NewZealand , #SouthAfrica , and #SaudiArabia whereas Pew Research Center 's was conducted within the #UnitedStates exclusively.

Ovia Health adds menopause tracking to its family care offerings

" Ovia Health #users will have access to symptom tracking and educational content, while its enterprise customers can obtain additional on-demand coaching and support."

"The company already offers consumers and enterprise customers?the ability to track menstrual cycles, gain insights into fertility, monitor a baby’s development and access health resources on women's health and family health."

Focus on Digital Nursing innovation at Digital Health Rewired 2023

"The Digital Nursing Summit will showcase some of the best leaders, teams, and initiatives from across the NHS .

Highlights of?the programme ?include Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent OBE , chief midwifery officer in #England who will be giving a #keynote on how allied healthcare professionals can unite to deliver frontline services."
