Digital Health Clinical Trial Adoption
Information Mediary Corp. (IMC)
We build tools and technologies to provide medication adherence insights, cold chain and smart drug logistics
HITLAB?is conducting research on the use of digital technologies, including remote monitoring, for decentralized clinical trial (DCT) designs and is asking for trial specialists to complete a brief survey:?Clinical Trial Enthusiast Survey.?After?receiving a representative set of responses, our Chair, Dr. Stan Kachnowski, will publish a paper on our findings. The survey is confidential and used for research.
The partnership also aims to expedite clinical trials with artificial intelligence (AI) and will deliver valuable research tools and workflow efficiencies for sponsors and sites. These tools result in improved timelines, along with increased recruitment of patients.
Today’s digital healthcare technology offers study sponsors a highly effective toolset for the centralized acquisition of data to support their study’s defined scientific endpoints. A drug delivery device that can capture and report accurate, objective data is an obvious improvement over manual self-reporting.?

The development and proliferation of prescription?medications, such as antibiotics, statins, asthma?medications, and other lifesaving?medications,?are perhaps one of the greatest medical and scientific achievements in human history. Not only have prescription?medications?increased the average lifespan dramatically, but they allow us to maintain a higher quality of life.
?Aardex Group – a company focused on remote research and healthcare adherence – and Cambridge Cognition have firmed a partnership up to provide monitoring during hybrid and decentralised clinical trials (DCTs).
The case for adopting digital solutions in trials to provide real-time insights on medication adherence has grown stronger. The fundamental drivers of change include societal norms, legal requirements and sponsors’ desire to digitalise and adopt decentralised trial procedures.
