After the excitement of AI Intelligence Last Week, Many May Be Left Disappointed

Apple has announced its new AI-powered features, known as Apple Intelligence, coming with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15 Sequoia. However, not all devices will support these updates. Apple Intelligence will be available on devices with modern processors capable of handling local AI processing. This includes iPhones with the A17 Pro chipset, such as the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, as well as iPads with at least an M1 chip, and Macs featuring Apple Silicon like the M1, M2, and M3 series.

Devices such as the entry-level iPads, iPhones with older A16 chips, and any Intel-based Macs will not support these new AI features. Apple Intelligence will initially roll out in US English, with international availability expected later. Supported devices include the latest generations of iPhone, iPad Air, iPad Pro, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro models with appropriate hardware capabilities.

Transform Presentations into Blog Posts

A common refrain from digital marketers is “repurpose your content.” Canva has just come up with a great way to speed up this process

Canva's new AI feature, 'Magic Switch,’? automatically converts Canva Presentations into engaging blog posts. This tool simplifies content creation, allowing you to expand your reach with minimal effort.

Step-by-step:

  1. Get Started with Canva Pro: Sin in or sign up for Canva Pro and access the Magic Studio (a free trial is available for one month).
  2. Open Your Presentation: Load your presentation in Canva.
  3. Use Magic Switch: Click on “Resize & Magic Switch” in the top bar.
  4. Transform Your Content: Choose “Transform into Doc” and select “Blog Post”.
  5. Generate Blog Post: In seconds, a draft blog post will be generated based on your presentation content.

This process ensures that your presentations are effectively repurposed, maximising your content's utility and reach. It may not be perfect straight out of the blocks, and it may require some editing on your behalf, but it’s definitely a great time saver

Turns out Scammers have Content Plans Too.

I know my audience is pretty smart, I mean after all you are reading this newsletter. But I also know that you can never give people enough reminders about being scam aware.?

Tax scams are particularly prevalent during the tax season, targeting business owners with deceptive schemes designed to steal sensitive information or money. Scammers often pose as ATO officials, sending phishing emails or making phone calls claiming that the business owes back taxes or faces legal action. They may also attempt to trick business owners into providing personal or financial information, which can then be used for identity theft or fraudulent tax returns.

It's crucial for business owners to remain vigilant and recognise these tactics to protect their operations and finances. Being aware of the common signs of tax scams, such as unsolicited communication, requests for immediate payment through unconventional methods, and threats of arrest, can help in identifying and avoiding these fraudulent activities. Additionally, verifying the legitimacy of any communication by directly contacting the ATO or consulting with a tax professional can further safeguard against these scams.

Something I've been pondering this week

Not really tech related but I saw this question posed in an email newsletter from Tim Ferriss "Are you hunting Antelope or Field Mice?" So what's happening for you? Are you playing the big game, or are you exerting your energy and still likely to starve?

As always, please reach out if you have any feedback regarding this newsletter.
