Digital Evolution during COVID times

As the globe is still engulfed in the chaotic world of Covid, it is being thought how the economies in today’s unprecedented era can make a comeback. They say a man is a social animal, but in the “Covid Era” the way we shop, communicate, etcetera is governed by the NEW norms of social conduct.

Professionally, the safety of internal and external stakeholders has taken priority. Businesses that are coming up with innovative ideas to stay afloat are here to stay and grow! As more and more countries open up their economies, stricter implementation of enhanced sanitization, social distancing measures, etc. will remain till the researchers find a definite solution to all mutations.

With this new environment, companies have to reconsider their marketing strategies. Strategies that have proven to be beneficial include:

1.      Optimism

The shift today is that people want normalcy. Any marketing communication that reassures that “this is just a phase” will do wonders.

2.      Contributing to the community

Pandemic has caused both health and wealth loss. By being closer to the community, helping those who need it may lead to greater indirect exposure. Incentivizing customers who pay their credit card bills/loans on time was one such example.

Digitalization is the way to look forward. e-Shopping has increased because of new social norms. Customers now purchase online rather than using conventional methods. Thus, having an e-com website now is more necessary than ever.

In case you are a service provider, you can still communicate/interact online with your clients. Good quality and interactive websites enhance customer's trust in the organization. New customers will compare your digital presence with competitors to form an opinion about your services.

4.      Pay per Click (PPC)

Start with PPC advertising. Internet will be used as a storm now and, as it provides a plethora of services, the consumer is ought to think “why not”! The overall traffic on the web has already seen an increase.

5.       Social Media Handles

Utilize the social media handles to communicate and listen to your customers/prospects. Ensure you have good visibility and engaging content for your target audiences. Advertise on social handles and get the attention of your prospective client.

The new mantra in the covid affected world is Innovation in everything, be it products, services, or even in-the-ways to reach out to the customer. Human interactions have changed tremendously, and so are company-to-customer interactions bound to change.
