It is our mission, as executives, leaders, and managers, to sail our organizations through the digital disruption wave, leveraging the power of data, AI, machine learning, and other emerging technologies as our compass.
The New Normal: An Ocean of Possibilities
It is no longer news that the COVID-19 pandemic has thrust digital readiness and remote work capabilities into the limelight. Organizations had to adapt – swiftly and radically – to this 'new normal.' This, in itself, is an embodiment of our strength as leaders: the ability to embrace change and carve out possibilities from pandemonium.
A McKinsey Global Survey reports that companies have accelerated the digitization of their customer and supply-chain interactions by three to four years, and their share of digital or digitally enabled products by an astonishing seven years(1). Now, that's what I call riding the digital disruption wave!

As the captain of your ship, we hold the responsibility of charting the course for our organization's digital transformation. We must understand the tide – where it is coming from, where it is going, and how to navigate it. Here are a few strategies that I believe we, as leaders, can employ:
Transforming Fear into Opportunity
As leaders, we know the weight of fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of change. But in the words of Jack Welch, “Change before you have to.” We must channel this fear, transforming it into an opportunity to innovate and evolve.
A study by The Boston Consulting Group reveals that companies which have embraced digital technologies are 26% more profitable than their industry peers(2). Now that's an opportunity worth diving into.
