The Digital Commitment/Value Funnel
(Title suggestions welcome)
We're working on some new ideas about the digital customer journey and how that's evolved...
Buyers are doing more and more research away from your website. The gap and the amount of time, energy, and commitment to take them between an awareness of your services and a decision to buy is...growing. But, we've got ideas to speed up decision-making!
Back in the pre-internet stone age, the buyer's journey was pretty simple: They talked to friends, maybe hopped on the phone, went to the office/store, and bought. And those steps were succinct.
And then digital happened. And all that came with it. As more channels come into play, the buyer's journey lengthens...and starts to feel more like a trek through the Himalayas. It involves more touch-points and mountains to climb. Your customers speak to you later and later...and later. And all this time means you have to be around more and produce 'stuff' for them to consume on the way up Everest. You've got a bunch of educated buyers who are on their own...until they make the decision to convert.
Your mountain goats of digital are here to guide!
PS it's our first outing with Whiteboard Wednesdays so we'd love to hear your feedback on the video
