New industry data has revealed that manufacturers are holding double the amount of stock compared to pre-pandemic levels as the world’s supply chain woes take on a new form. Would you agree? Manufacturing leaders discuss the key issues in the sector

The MTC recently hosted a roundtable to examine how the UK manufacturing industry needs to work as one and come together to overcome inflation, the cost of living crisis and recession. Hosted in partnership with iBASEt, the event brought together senior manufacturing leaders in aerospace, defence and space technology, to discuss how UK manufacturers can collaborate to advance digitalisation, and improve productivity.

Manufacturing Growth Programme supports winner of ‘Aldi’s Next Big Thing’ to boost production capacity

A family-run Hertfordshire business has sealed a major supermarket deal after impressing buyers during a primetime Channel 4 TV show. The Greek Farmer will supply over 15,000 packs of its cured meat to Aldi stores in the UK after it impressed on ‘Aldi’s Next Big Thing’ due to be aired later this year.

I like article on "Increase in holding stock". Of course it raises other questions, such as how to leverage value from the stock held - e.g. are customers charged more for quick production & delivery?
