Last week, Bibby Consulting Group was part of #DigimarconAPAC at the stunning Marina Bay Sands in Singapore (pictured in the header image above).
The event attracts some of the foremost thought leaders and innovators in the industry from all over the globe to discuss the latest trends, insights and strategies in digital marketing.

As a speaker at the conference, what I found to be most fascinating was how thirsty marketers are for information right now. Digital marketing is changing at a rate faster than ever before.
Businesses shared common problems such as in 18 months they've gone from generating 200 to 120 leads per day. They are still spending $75,000 USD each day on AdWords but getting 40% less results. Ouch!
LinkedIn was a big topic, with many businesses having tried Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Ads without the right strategy and no results. However, this was interesting; they still felt LinkedIn should work for them, and were sure their target market was on the platform.
Astute marketers. I enjoyed sharing with them the common mistakes I see people make and how to add value to your network. There are thousands of companies in the same boat.
I knew that there was uncertainty around how to measure and obtain an ROI from social media. What I didn't fully appreciate was how much this is impacting the bottom line.
So these were the top 2 things I learned...
- The rate of change in digital marketing is constantly accelerating to a point where businesses can't keep up anymore. This gives startups who are agile a competitive advantage if they are proactive with the latest trends and platforms.
- The importance of marketing has also accelerated while the importance of sales has decreased. Research reports show that 75% of a customer's journey is already complete by the time a prospect speak to a business representative.

7 年Linkinedin need innovation and I have a few ideas that they out to implement immediately cause I am getting flush not being able to use the functionality as I see it easy on the eyes...Anyone ones who's whos..contact them to contact me..For what ever its worth some will take my message serious if they want to be more successful
