A recent trip to IBM’s Innovation Center in San Francisco, CA marked a big step forward for DigiBuild in the progression toward bringing our platform to market. In case you’re joining us for the first time, DigiBuild, LLC., is an IBM business partner and Blockchain frontrunner that has a viable construction management and business intelligence solution that harnesses Blockchain technology, for the provision of a ‘network of networks’ that will soon have you asking “where have you been all my professional life?”
Planes, trains and automobiles provided us with 20+ industry leaders over the course of our 2-day summit in which attendees, both live and remote, were able to actively participate in the summit, give feedback, and have an extremely long look into the future of the construction industry - a future we are certain to define with granularity together! Multiple billion dollar construction organizations agree that blockchain allows us to drive efficiency and de-risk construction management unlike anything they have seen before. If you’re wondering, “Are the Industry giants involved?”… you’d better believe it! Our summit participants collectively do over $50B per year in construction revenues. They too agree that the current solutions on the market are like platform 1.0, a great step up from the previous world of standalone spreadsheets, however, the industry is now seeing the need for platform 2.0, a solution above and beyond anything available on the market. Our beta users and IBM see that DigiBuild is the next generation construction platform, allowing us to save money, save time, reduce risk, and improve collaboration.
DigiBuild +IBM are now forming a consortium of early adopters and founding members to stand up this network with the goal to move to pilots in the near future. The members of the consortium are the parties that will have input and say into how this network is developed, what precisely it will do and what purposes it will serve. You see, the power of the network, the amazing capability, is not just dependent upon the technology, it truly is the power of the people that get involved that provide the definition of the network and its precise function. Ultimately, all of these efforts converge into what will become “the network”.
The main objective of the summit was for the creation of our initial consortium consisting of early adopters and founding members. Let's talk about the key learnings coming out of our joint summit with IBM and key learnings from the biggest companies in development and construction.
