Diggecard acquires National Gift Card Europe

Combining gift card expertise and experience with world class gift card technology

I am delighted to tell you that Diggecard, a Norwegian gift card technology specialist, has acquired National Gift Card Europe. By uniting our gift card expertise, retail partnerships and corporate customers with the world class SaaS (software as a service) gift card platform developed by Diggecard, collectively we are able strengthen and grow our position in the European gift card market. As part of the deal, NGC US gains a minority interest in Diggecard.

Going forward, our new company name will be Diggecard (pronounced digi-card), and the whole business will have a brand refresh including new logo and company website. We have chosen to keep the name as we feel it effectively reflects our proposition which is gift card expertise and experience, combined with the best technology for partners looking to sell gift cards and customers looking to buy gift cards and distribution services.  Also, the word ‘Digge’ in Norwegian means ‘to love or to dig’, and we really do love gift cards! 

If you are reading this as an existing customer of ours, please be assured that your programme will continue to run as it currently does. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be working through a prioritised transition plan which will involve systems transfers to Diggecard. We will keep you informed of all of these changes.
