Dig the Well When You Are Not Thirsty

Recently, I heard a proverb by a well established business man," DIG THE WELL WHEN YOU ARE NOT THIRSTY."It took me sometime to analyse and realize what he actually.

I am in a 9 to 5 job since 3 years but have cared less to save a penny. Why would have I cared? I never got any contingency and future who knows? But then something happened and it changed my outlook.

Mr. Rishabh ,shared his story," how he was carefree like me and many others at our age, enjoying the weekends, having vacations and least bothered about families." Not everyone is lucky to have parents but not everyone is lucky enough to see them life long. A person who had worked in the major brands like Range Rover, Jaguar, Land Rover etc, lost his mother to a prevalent disease known as DIABETES because he failed to save a penny. Even after working every single day from 9 to 6 in the last 8 years, he had insufficient funds to treat his dying mother.

We work daily, give our precious times of life to work but do we have enough savings to save the lives of our loved ones? Can we still live carefree? What if we were in place of Mr. Rishabh? What would have we done seeing the one we loved, slipping away?

Lots of questions but a single answer. We could have done something before the need arose. Not everybody is like TATA's or AMBANI's . Most of us are from mediocre families. Some don't even dare to think of starting up a business with the risk of failure or the comfort zones they are in. Reading or listening a story will not change the lifestyle or the mindset we have but a contingency like this will.

Why wait? I have decided to save the penny and dig the well before such time arise , have you?
