Difficult Conversations - do you have Supervision?
Difficult conversations have been a theme this week. In QT Conversations we discussed how important it is not to take things personally when it comes to tutor-client relationships. We remembered that during difficult times, people can fail to communicate as well as you’d like. We remembered that we are resilient and we know how to recalibrate and look after ourselves. In light of this I am very proud to announce that Lorna and Jacqueline from Pursuit of Wisdom Coaching will be running a new programme from us: Supervision Circles.
Coming from an educational background, Supervision might be a new concept to you. However, within the training process of healthcare professionals, supervision is an embedded process that ensures safe, governed practice. Supervision is a self-led safe space to explore, reflect, and learn from your professional practice, including what went well (validate and amplify), what did not go so well (reflect and learn), and where improvements could be made (grow and develop).
I believe that professional supervision is essential for the longevity of your career, regardless of seniority or years worked. Every professional requires this safe space.
It makes me extremely proud to be able to offer the Supervision Circles Programme to tutors. To participate, you must be able to attend on the following dates and times via a Zoom link and be in a confidential space for the entire meeting.
Since this is a new initiative, the introductory price for the entire programme is just £60 for members & £75 for non-members. The whole programme is CPD accredited and there are limited spaces available. If you’d like to sign up, you can express your interest here.
As you know, I am endlessly committed to bringing you everything you need to ensure that you love your tutoring. It’s an exciting time to be growing and developing our profession together.
Wishing you a restful weekend and, where relevant, half term break.
