Different ways of giving
What if you could help your clients create a legacy where fewer children suffer from serious and chronic illnesses? When you help your clients plan a future gift to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, you’re empowering them to do just that.
Feedback that we often hear from Professional Advisors is, “How do I suggest ways to give and offer legacy options for my clients?”
You know that your clients can leave a legacy gift through a TFSA, RRSP, RRIF, Life Insurance, Pension, property, and more—but how do you raise this in conversation?
Likewise, our donors also often ask us how they can create a legacy with lasting impact. Let us bridge the gap and give you our success tips to raise this in your conversations.
Talk values. Pause to explore significant events in their lives. Ask ‘what if…’ questions and explore where their passion lies. Most of our donors have a personal connection to our hospital — likely your clients do too. Go beyond standard advice, and ensure they know of all of their options to suit their different needs.
By focusing on their passions and what they want to accomplish with their wealth, you are helping them find their philanthropic purpose and create a long-lasting impact within their community. You can partner with them to help fulfill their dreams, as you focus the conversation on what’s most meaningful, and what lies in their power to accomplish.
To help you simplify some of the future giving options available, we’ve created a tool for you to share or use as your own prompt when you have client meetings. It covers some of the different ways of giving that are available to your clients that can help leave a lasting legacy.
Thank you for leading the conversation to explore your clients’ values and passions. Enjoy the rewards of stronger client relationships and accomplishment knowing you’ve helped your clients realize their dreams, while changing the lives of children in BC.
Please check out our free tool below, or download it from our resources page at www.bcchf.ca/legacy-resources.
