A different touch

A different touch

Tola and her family once lived in a suburb near Heathrow Airport. Her parents were reasonably wealthy but quite loving and respectful.

Pathetically, the horrible 1972 plane crash of BE 548 decimated Tola's family as the exploded plane blew up most of her family's house.

She lost her entire family to the crash and escaped death by the whiskers.

However, shrapnel from the plane crash pierced her private part and other parts of her body.

Thankfully, the first responders assisted in removing some metallic objects from her body before taking her to the hospital.

The remaining shrapnel were removed at Beverly Hill Hospital. But due to the anatomy of her genitalia and the complexity of the injury, the doctors were hesitant about scheduling her for the 7th surgery within 6 hours of the accident.

Years later, when Tola started having her monthly period, she started experiencing heavy and unending bleeding—no thanks to the previous injury.

In search of medical help, Tola sold every property bequeathed to her through the help of her family's lawyer.

Unfortunately, her condition became worse.

Consequently, she became broke, homeless and started living on the government's handout.

Some toxic neighbours who knew about her case would intentionally but mockingly call her "The woman with the issue of blood."

She became financially depleted and emotionally empty.

Seven days ago, Jesus Christ came to Anfield for a miracle crusade. Tola heard about it and decided to attend, having heard about the miracle power of Jesus.

She had seen a short video of how people touched Jesus and were instantly healed. Therefore, her goal was to touch Jesus' cloth.

The weather was cloudy, so Jesus' flight was delayed. He got to Anfield later than the scheduled time. So, the crowd was already waiting for Him.

Ordinarily, Jesus' crusade attracts several thousand of people. Immediately they sighted him; they almost mobbed him. The joy and expectations were palpable.

The county's police officers and hired crowd control personnel were overwhelmed.

Coincidentally, Liverpool and Real Madrid just finished their champions league match. So, crusade attendees and football fans were trooping in opposite directions. The conflicting effect was crazy!

Suddenly Jesus shouted, "who touched me?"

Peter flared up and said, "Can't you see the Real Madrid fans pressing hard on us and praising Karim Benzema to high heaven? On the other hand, look at Liverpool fans throwing tantrums and abusing Jurgen Klopp and his epileptic Liverpool team for losing 5-2 to Madrid."

Jesus replied Peter, "This touch was different. It is not from those chanting Hala Madrid or the "Never walk alone" fans.

Tola knew she had been perfectly healed. So, she knelt at Jesus' feet and told Him everything that had happened.

Jesus smiled and looked at Peter. Then, without saying a word, Peter felt rebuked and embarrassed by his utter display of naivety.

For the first time in many decades, Tola experienced sound health and speedily wanted to discover her purpose as a woman.

Yesterday, after accepting her connection request on LinkedIn , she told me her parents were Nigerians – specifically from Oyo town.

I told her about the demise of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi and that a new Alaafin of Oyo would be coronated soon. She wanted to visit Nigeria and witness the coronation ceremony.

Tola will be visiting Nigeria for the first time, and her story reminds me that what God cannot do, does not exist.
