Different softcover style notebooks you should know...

There are many different softcover styles, the looks and cost are different for the suppliers.So it's hard for them to quote you the accurate price while customers just talk to us they need "softcover style". I'm going to tell you the difference

1,Single leather cover with cut edges 

It's really soft as the cover is very thin,only the PU leather sticked on the front and back flyleaf directly.This style usually bends easily,even could be rolled up.It is flexible enough.Different with the hardcover version,this style the edges are by cut,so cover and inner block with the same size.

2,Doulbe leather cover with cut edges 

As single leather cover are not that strong due to the thin material,it would easily broken whie using after period of time.We can improve the cover to be more thicker ones.Single layer PU leather usually around 0.8mm,so we use double thick leather with 1.6mm that could make the cover much more stronger. But sometimes there is seldom suppliers with that thickness in single layer. So in reality we usually stick two pieces single layer PU in 0.8mm together then use it as cover. 

3,Double leather cover None cut edges 

While most of the softcover notebooks in the market are cut edges. An other kind of softcover born and gain a lot of traction and lovers. It's similar conbination way as hardcover version. The overall cover is a lit bit bigger than the inner block,so edges are not by cut,this style looks better than the directly cut style.

Tips: Usually it's not reasonable when client need soft cover book, required the elastic band but NO need for the pocket. We need to put the elastic thtough the back cover, then both ends stick to the inside back.The pocket usually needed to cover the elasitc.That's why usually the elastic band and pocket always appear together on softcover style journals.
