There were undoubtedly malpractices within Carillion that ended in its sad demise with tragic consequences for many of those people associated with the Company. Over 2 years on we still await reports from Financial Reporting Council and National Audit Office. It is undisputable that those responsible should be held accountable but the fact of the matter is that the ultimate fate of Carillion was set long before the involvement of some of those who have been subjected to a clamor for blood and used for cheap self serving political gain.
