Since I joined the workforce I have learned a lot about trading time for money. It is exhausting. I work countless hours every week at my job to earn a paycheck only to do to again the next week, month, and year.
Now there is satisfaction in the long hours and hard work to takes to complete a project and that is what we celebrate today. However, what is the opportunity cost of all of that time? Is it missing weddings of friends and/ or family? Skipping the family vacation? Missing time with your kids?
Wouldn't it be better to celebrate Labor Day next year if we knew that we did not have to go back to work tomorrow?

All it requires from you is the time to research the investment and having the money to invest. Consider spending 30 minutes to an hour a day learning about a new investment. Also consider what would happen if you skipped a night out to eat and used the money you saved to invest in that new investment opportunity.
