A different kind of Valentine

A different kind of Valentine

Valentine’s Day is one of my favourite times of the year to celebrate at Dejero and it has nothing to do with flowers or chocolate.?

For us, February 14 is our Gratitude Grams Day. It is an initiative we started seven years ago as a way for our people to express their gratitude towards their peers. Plus, it also helps Dejero spread? positivity across our community through donations raised and donated to charitable organizations. To date we have collected over $20,000 in donations.

What is Dejero’s Gratitude Grams Day?

Our annual initiative kicks off two weeks prior to Valentine’s Day. Our People + Culture team invites employees to craft messages of gratitude to whomever they choose from across the organization.??

The cost of each Gratitude Gram is just two dollars. Half of that goes to charity and the other half is used to give employees a treat in the form of a gift card. Everyone wins!?

What you do matters!

On V-day, employees receive a message that includes personal messages written by their peers. Dejero goes a step further by matching the donations collected and doubling the impact for those who need it most.??

We know that gratitude is an incredibly powerful tool that helps us feel positive emotions in both our professional and personal lives. The sheer act of saying ‘thank you’ has lasting impacts on our health and it also helps us build stronger connections. In a time when things can sometimes feel heavy, today we celebrate with an immense amount of joy, unity and positivity.

As we kick off our 7th Annual Gratitude Grams initiative, I am so proud to report that over 900 messages of positivity, friendship and thanks will be sent from and to Dejero employees.??

I hope each of you can find a way to spread some gratitude and positivity across your teams and families not just today, but every day.
